题目：The impact of ambiguity on disease transfer
摘要：We study the dynamics of health in a small open economy where people are ambiguity averse. Infectious diseases cause labor productivity loss but can be avoided through costly prevention. First, we show that there could be a poverty trap as people in a high-disease economy would tend to invest little in prevention. Then we show uncertainty on the efficiency of preventive investment could help push an economy out of underdevelopment because an ambiguity averse individual might invest more in self-prevention in the presence of ambiguity.
