摘要：Occupational injuries can be severe, with substantial consequences for involved adult U.S. workers, their families, employers and society. Using data from a nationally representative sample of adult workers, we constructed negative binomial regression to examine the association between workplace harassment (sexual and nonsexual) and occupational injury. We find that sexual harassment was significantly associated with neither absence of occupational injury nor number of occupational injuries. Nonsexual workplace harassment is a potential contributor of occupational injury. Types of workplace harassment should be differentiated when studying the cause of occupational injury.
报告人简介：Dr. Yu recently graduated from Indiana University with a Ph.D. in Health Behavior. Besides a master’s degree in Applied Health Science, Dr. Yu also holds another master’s degree in Safety Science & Technology and a bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering. Dr. Yu’s research interests include occupational safety & health, injury prevention, health behavior and health policy. He taught 3-years undergraduate classes when he was an associate instructor in the Indiana University.
