城市规模、人口结构与不可贸易品多样性
——基于“大众点评网”的大数据分析

AbstractThis study utilizes the information of restaurants on the famous internet company Dianping.com, empirically tests the effects of city size and population diversity on the variety of non-tradable goods. The results show that 1% of population increment increases the variety of cuisines by 0.528%-0.696%, and 1% point of mobile population increment increases the variety of cuisines by 2/19%-3.56%, which indicates mobile population not only bring their hometown cuisines, but also induces the innovation of new cuisines. Furthermore, we simulate the size of every city under log-normal distribution with various parameters, calculate the variety of cuisines for each city under different distribution of city size accordingly, and use the population weighted variety of cuisines as a welfare indicator to estimate the welfare loss from the policy of population restriction on large cities. The overall losses are large, especially for the large cities, but the policy protests most of medium and small cities as well.

李兵，中央财经大学国际经济与贸易学院副教授。2008年于吉林大学获得经济学博士学位，2011年于香港科技大学获得社会科学博士学位。主要研究方向是外商直接投资、国际贸易、国际政治经济学、互联网经济学、应用计量经济学等。研究成果发表于The Economics of Transition、《经济研究》、《世界经济》等SSCI英文期刊和中文权威期刊。主持省部级课题2项，国家社科重大课题子课题负责人1项，参与2项，参与教育部重大课题1项，其他省部级课题以及政府部门课题多项。中国技术经济学会知识产权分委会理事，《经济研究》、《世界经济》等期刊匿名审稿人。“雏鹰读书会”创始人，学术顾问。
