 CNPC and It's Globalization——From Going out to Going in and Moving Up

This worshop offers a comprehensive analysis of China National Petroleum Corporation's (CNPC) strategic global journey.

It will first give an introduction of CNPC's multinational operations, detailing the scale and scope of its global business footprint. It will then delve into the distinctive characteristics and real-world case studies of its overseas collaborative projects, providing concrete examples of its operational successes and challenges.

A key focus will be on deciphering CNPC's unique paradigm for managing its overseas operations, revealing the core competencies that underpin its international competitiveness. Ultimately, the lecture will chart the evolution of CNPC's global strategy—tracing its path from the initial phase of "Going Out" for expansion, to the deeper phase of "Going In" for local integration, and finally to the strategic shift of "Moving Up" to enhance its brand value and position in the global energy value chain.
